Job Purpose
The Cleaner will be responsible for ensuring that all office and laboratory areas within the Randfontein site are kept clean, safe, and organized throughout the day. This role also involves monitoring cleaning supplies and providing requests for replenishment to the Line Manager.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will perform daily and scheduled cleaning tasks, which include:
- Floor care – Sweeping and washing floors to maintain cleanliness.
- Waste management – Emptying dustbins, sorting waste, and moving bins outside for collection.
- Kitchen duties – Washing the kitchen area, cleaning cups, and ensuring all shared spaces are neat.
- Office care – Dusting office equipment, cleaning desks, and ensuring workspaces remain tidy.
- Bathroom hygiene – Keeping toilets and bathroom facilities sanitary and stocked.
- Deep cleaning – Carrying out specific deep-cleaning tasks as directed by the Line Manager.
This role directly contributes to ensuring that SGS facilities remain a safe, professional, and hygienic environment for staff and visitors.
Qualifications and Requirements

- Minimum qualification: Grade 12 (Matric).
- Flexibility: Must be willing to work shifts and adapt to varying schedules.
- Availability: Must be willing to work overtime when required.
